The
experience of last year's ride opened my eyes to just how hard the people of
Camp Quality work and how big an impact Camp Quality has on the lives of the
Kids and their families. My eyes were opened to the phenomenon of seeing CQ
in full flight, puppet show and all, travelling through the small communities
and schools we visited along the ride, it was one of the great rewards at the
end of a long day on the bike.

I
am very nervous about doing 1000K's in 10 days as I rarely ride a bike, but
I'm so happy to be a part of such a wonderful Charity, I am completely up for
the challenge and it's a great way to give something back to
the community who have been so good to me.

I'm embarking on this ride a little last minute
as my girlfriend's friend pulled out and I offered to join her because I
think it's such a great cause and a wonderful experience.
I am excited for the trip, the challenge and
making new friends and can't wait to ride into Newcastle and see all my
friends and family waiting for me.
I will be very proud of myself and will have
earned a beer or 20 and I can't wait to never wear lycra again .. haha.

I
have been lucky enough to be involved in Camp Quality as an event sponsor and
in 2011 participated in the first Ride 4 Kids followed by the much larger
challenge of over 1000 km in 2012. Wow what a challenge, great fun and I am
proud to be part of such a great team raising money for this very special
cause.
I
am also stupid enough to do it again in 2013 so I will need a lot of
sponsorship support to get me to the end.

I participated
in my first Camp Quality challenge in 2011 when we rode from Armidale to
Maitland and again in 2012 for the 1000kms for Kids. Even though these
challenges pushed me both mentally & physically well out of my comfort
zone, I didn’t anticipate just how much I would take away from these
experiences!
