I have been a volunteer
with Camp Quality for 7 years now and love every minute of it.
It was in 2010 that I
suggested we do a bike ride as a big fundraiser - Donna agreed and politely
suggested that I organise it. We are now two ride challenges on (2011 and
2012) over $360k raised and can’t wait for 2013.

My
involvement with Camp Quality has been through the son of one of our
employees who is currently undergoing cancer treatment. Although I have been
previously involved in raising money for Camp Quality and other worthy
Charities I thought it was about time I walked the talk (or should I say
“ride” the talk!) and got pedalling to raise awareness, raise funds and meet
some great people in the process.

I am doing this Ride to
challenge myself but most importantly to try to help some kids who are
experiencing hard times and to help put a smile on their faces.

I do regular cycle classes
at Mingara and in 2012 I watched the 'Mingara One' team train and prepare for
this challenge. I had an underlying ambition, wishing I was part of the team
to mentally and physically challenge myself but also to raise much needed
funds for Camp Quality.
I feel privileged in 2013
to be asked to be a team rider in the Mingara One team. To fulfil this
challenge I need your support, please be generous with assisting me fundraise
for Camp Quality so they can continue to provide ongoing support to families
in need.

I have been a competitive
sportsperson for around 15 years of my life - usually competing in running
distances, then into short course triathlons.
The last 12 months of my
career a serious back injury has taken my journey on a different road, giving
me a different life experience. Cycle being one of my passions has led
me on a new and exciting path. But, now it's not about the ride and
competition, it's about riding for a cause and Camp Quality it is !!
